Mr. King has over 28 years of leadership experience in the automotive aftermarket, beginning with his career at Arvin Industries (Gabriel Shock Absorbers and Maremont Exhaust Systems), where he progressed through product management, sales and marketing, and operational assignments. Mr. King left Arvin after 12 years to become the chief operating officer for Lincoln Brass Works, a privately held supplier to the appliance controls market. In 1997, Mr. King joined Coltec Industries, as the division president for Holley Performance Products, and rapidly improved the company’s operational performance and sales process. In 1998, Mr. King partnered with Kohlberg and Company in acquiring Holley from Coltec. Over the next five years, Mr. King led a consolidation program focusing on acquiring and integrating leading brands within the fuel management (Holley, NOS, and Earls Performance), air management (Weiand), exhaust systems (Hooker Headers and Flowtech) and internal engine (Lunati) markets. While at Holley, he also successfully raised $150 million of public debt to support this consolidation program. Mr. King joined Auto Meter in early 2003 shortly after its acquisition by the Harbour Group. Mr. King is a graduate of Wabash College and the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University. Mr. King has served on the SEMA Board of Directors and is active in industry related issues.
